Ticking sound on turns during cold days

Hey guys,

I tried but couldn't find something similar to my issue. With the temperatures dropping, there seems to be some kind of weird noise, when I turn.

The noise is similar to a baseball card being put in a bicycle spoke and it only occurs during the winter, when I turn left or right during. It disappears after a while, when the engine warms up. During the warmer parts of the year, the noise never comes.

The car drives fine, no issues and there are no warning messages being thrown.

Im just wondering if this is might be a sign that something might be failing soon. My CPO expires in December and would love to take care of it before that date if its serious.

I got some work done last year at my buddies shop and he was saying the alternator might be coming to an end. Not sure if this might have to do with anything, but wanted to just throw it out there. I believe the dealer will only replace it if it fails... Wish I could get it replaced by December..

Do you have the same noise when you turn the steering wheel left and right, vehicle stationary, engine running?

Not sure how your friend was able to determine a soon to quit alternator but the only way that's possible if he heard some weird noises from there.

Both directions, I think its maybe a bit more louder on right turns. When the engine is running and I'm driving. I just tried it stationary with the engine on and there was no sound.

For the alternator, he wrote down for me "Pulley has free spin on the alternator, it is intermitting. Has sometimes issue with charging system" as I honestly don't know what that means.
