N47 Timing Chain Replaced by BMW But I Can Still Hear The Rattling Noise
Could someone guide me what to do.
I have e92 320 diesel (N47) 2008 model
I bought it privately in march last year, in service history it says timing chain was fully replaced by BMW in 2015 and my mechanic suggested that the noise which is coming under the bonnet is definitely a timing chain noise as it was quite low few weeks back but now its getting louder. We've been going to this mechanic for several years and he is really good and he did replace timing chain and timing belt on my brothers car.
I booked an appointment with BMW garage where the car being serviced all its life and timing chain was also replaced in the same garage, they did the health check and everything was fine, even in their records which they handed me at the end saying timing chain was replaced.
I talked to their mechanic myself and asked him if he could go on a drive to check whether its just me or actually there is a problem. After a drive he said the car is in good condition there isn't any engine noise, but i can clearly hear it. i remember when i bought it, it was not loud at all..
i don't know what to do.
