You know, when I bought the E39 Touring I spent about $1,500 to
set it up as a tow vehicle, but then worried about it getting thrashed
(that was part of the impetus behind getting the truck - preserving the
wagon).

Now I don't care any more...

Even if I am having a bad day, getting on the freeway and hearing the roar of the engine through the CAI makes everything better.

Ditch the truck and get the M Jon, your psyche will thank you for it

really hasnt been that bad, had it for like a year, and the only thing that went wrong was the passenger seat motor went out, and that was pretty costly because they 'never go out' and they had to drill out the rivets and replace it.

but other than normal matinence and getting the clutch delay valve deleted, it has been pretty good.
- just turned 50k miles


one thing though, the throttle kinda sticks sometimes, and i dont know what to do...

nice Rolls in the back ground. is the BMW just for running to the market on a rainy day?

I had a 1st year Tundra regular cab with the bench seat - the seats were hell on the lower back. I drove it once from NH to MI and back to tow a car here - after the first 150 miles I hated the seats.

That M3 seat should be much better

I have a very good friend who is a PsyD (Doctor of Psychology); he's been doing clinical psychology for nearly 30 years - he's on his fourth Corvette; he just bought a C6, and took me for a ride up Ortega Highway (and all the Inland Empire/Orange County people said, "Yeah, baby!" )

I only needed defibrillation once we got to San Juan Capistrano...

He's had other cars, but his therapy is driving his 'Vette...he's a lot happier!

Do the right thing here Jon and just.......DO IT! Get that car! (nice color btw) Make yourself happy and reward yourself. It is a sign that the CPO ran out on Bimmerfest 2K5!

The car is nice, but not perfect. There are several items that need attention.

A '99 with 70k mi. should not cost $19,900.



I might just have to sell my truck first and then go shopping for a car...

I have no problem getting in touch with him.

Well Jon the wife brought home the Tundra a lil over a month ago. I showed her the local paper with a $580 down 200 a month 36 month deal and next thing ya know I had a plywood hauler in the driveway. Pretty sweet for what it is. Everybody needs a truck especially in *addition to* rather than *instead of* the lil bimmer. That 3 is pretty sweet Jon, maybe it's time to stop worrying about the deal and making the heart happy.

P.S. Keep the truck. The money will somehow appear if you need it to.
