Looking for M3...found a 98 w/104k miles

Found a beautfiful silver 98 M3 with 104,000 miles. Obviously garage kept it's whole life and very mildly modded (nice exhaust and intake, BBS rims, that's about it). It is fully loaded and in perfect shape. Owner says he just had major service done at 100,000 miles. Should I be worried about the mileage?? I was really looking to stay lower but this car is so perfect. Any help is greatly appreciated

Check the sticky and make SURE the water pump, thermostat housing and radiator have been changed, otherwise you might not make it home.

Other than that, that mileage is barely broken in.

is 16,500 a resonable price? Like I said immaculate car..

The car is worth what it is worth to you. If those items are done, and the car is what YOU want, yeah it is worth that much.

Without those items and others things not quite what you were looking for, I would say maybe a bit high for the mileage.

That seems to be a reasonable price, if it is in such a NICE condition. Other than the sticky, you may want to check out the other tread regarding problems found on e36 m3's and inquire with the seller if any of those problems are present. My car has 110k and it's still running great!! Not to mention, going @ 90 in fifth, i was able to take off faster than a SS camero on the way to bimmerfest last week. the camero guy look at me like "what the f*ck?"

Took it to a local BMW shop yesterday and had it inspected. They said it was in great shape...no problems. So I ended up buying it last night and I love it. I'll post pics when I get a chance but it's by far the nicest car I've ever owned.
