Is this an M6?

I was driving behind this for a while on the rally. Is this an M6?

Survey says, "Yes!"


(And, who else thinks it looks kinda thrown-together from Solara/Mercedes AMG/Grand AM parts? )

Oops. Forgot to add: Cadillac mirrors.

Im going to have to agree with MM. That thing looks thrown together.

I don't think they can put a sunroof into the CF roof

having quad-exhaust doesn't mean the car is an M.

The car's owner added the quad-exhaust. The car is indeed a 645. The mirrors are dead give away.

Not an M. Wrong exhaust, no rear diffuser, wrong sideview mirrors.

And, that car has a sun roof, not the CF roof.

it's not for the reasons stated in this thread. I'm wondering what sort of mufflers those are. At first I thought they were Hartge mufflers, since Hartge mufflers are ellipsoidal, but they don't have that 'tube within a tube' look, which from this point of view, look real ugly looking.

By the way, those Cadillac mirrors you see are actually stock 645 side view mirrors. Perhaps BMW is taking spare parts from cadillac

Also, Hamann makes side view mirrors for the 6, that look quite similar to the M6 side mirrors.

curious here, what is the purpose of a rear diffuser?

Aerodynamics I suppose...downforce and all that, to prevent lifting of the arse at high speeds.

And yes, that's definitely a 645ci. There's no way on earth you can fit a sunroof on a carbon fibre roof (as in an M6), well, not the most logical thing to do I mean.

IMO, quad pipes look fine, but the pipe within the pipe look is just not my cup of tea, which is also why I'm leaning more towards the Hamann kit rather than the ACS offering.
