Texas defines "classic" as 25 years for cars. So yeah, this is well on its way...

hello, and thanks for the welcome. i define cars vintage differently and loosely according to where it's from and what decade... any "vintage" european car would be from the 80s and back, domestic cars would be from the 60s and back, and japanese cars that's from the 70s and back. i really don't know why i classify it like that... it just makes sense to me. i'm 20 and my car is 19, so it's kind of funny for me to think of myself as possibly being "vintage" since my car is 1 year away from getting a historical car liscense plate!
i'm going to have to give my car a nice polish before i post any pics of it... but i can guarentee, he's one hot car!!

When I was 20 (in, ahem, 1983)... a 1963 anything seemed like something Fred Flintstone drove. --J.

Welcome! I am also extremely biased towards e30's, my first car was an 84 325e, the most reliable car i've ever owned...up until my latest e30 :-) a 93 325iC. Built in dec 1992, it is one of the last off the line! Anyway, i find the same problems with ordering parts, i usually test the garage/store first by asking about parts and seeing which body style they bring up. I have found 2 shops in atlanta that I trust to not order the wrong part :-)
