Help w/ E90

First time posting here.

Any thoughts and comments on this craigslist listing would be greatly appreciated! I finally have enough cash saved for my dream car and this one fits my budget. Only concern would be the high miles and "minor" fender bender, but this would just be mostly for my weekend drives to the golf course. Thank you in advance for your help!

2011 E90 DCT M3
Ask: $22,900
Miles: 116k

Looks nice... I recommend a pre-purchase inspection by a pro, but seems like a good deal to me. I wouldn't buy a BMW with that high mileage, personally, but for an M3, it seems like the price reflects the mileage. Good luck.

And the high mileage is mostly highway.

How do you view 116k miles? That the car is tested and proven reliable or lucky and nearing the end of its life?

...that car is probably in need of $5000-7000 of new components (including labor) to refresh a car full of worn out parts, before it becomes relatively reliable for another period.

If all required maintenance has been done, wouldn't there be relatively few "worn out" parts?

Me personally wouldn't buy a BMW with that many miles on it. Based on experience especially an M. They require way more proper maintenance

Do you have any relatives in Texas? I think I might have a car to sell them!

What you will learn about bmw is any part at any given time can break for any given reason and this becomes much more common at higher miles like that. Just be warned.

High mileage M car that's been driven in Northeast winters...I wouldn't let my friends buy it.

I'm also suspicious of any seller who casually tries to spin the number of owners, accident history, and high mileage. Perhaps the mileage is all highway, the accident was minor, the two owners were family (does that matter? Still two owners...), etc.--but do you see where it's all pointing?

I can only recommend a "no excuses or stories" used BMW, especially an M, and this has several excuses/stories.
