Navigation screen blinks then goes blank. Help. Where do I start? Trunk, relay, fuse and where are they located. Thanks

You sure that's an E46? I thought only the coupes and convertibles made it past '05.

If it just goes dim it's the screen itself - the most likely culprit IMO. You can get replacements on eBay for relatively low amount. not sure about the E90, but it's not a hard DIY.
