Known problems with 335xi's?

I'm looking to get a 335xi, preferably a 2007-8. What's a good mileage I should be looking for, and what are issues with them? I know they're expensive as all hell to repair, and I don't want to buy one, have it for a month only to see it crap the bed. I think these cars a absolutely beautiful and would love to own one. Any advice/help is very much appreciated.

I own a 2009 335i, nothing compares to it. The bi-turbo N54 is wonderful. It makes merging onto a highway one of the most exciting things ever. You'll often catch yourself at high speeds not even realizing how quickly this thing can accelarate. As for the mileage, I would aim for as low as possible. My 335i has 53k and I'd say that's pretty low for it's age. But it's all up to you.

I would advise against an early-model 335i (07-08), they are problematic. The only problem every 335i has that I know of is the HPFP (High pressure fuel pump) but the warranty is 10yr/100k.

Gl!

N54 engine has a problem on VANOS, something about the Bearing ledges (intake and exhaust), worn out too soon.
