I was there in spirit cuz I was nursing my leg back to health after an unfortunate pavement incident on Easter Sunday that year.

2001 was my first. I tried to get a ride for 2000 but was unsuccessful and didn't think that the ole rusty trusty 88 subaru wagon would fit in.
I ordered the lil roadster on July 4th 2000. Nothing but when it arrived in September.

I was there; I recognize half the people from the group photo.
What's interesting, though, is that I am NOT in the group picture. When the picture was taken, I was already racing down the 101 toward San Diego. Luckily I avoided getting a ticket. Others weren't so lucky.

I'll never forget the night before Bimmerfest 2001.
It was absolutely pouring rain at midnight as my wife and I sat in the jaccuzzi with raindrops falling on our heads I said to her, "I can't believe that Bimmerfest is now just hours away"... Well, as the Bimmer Gods would have it, the rain stopped around 6:30 am, the clouds broke, and we had a glorious day... Before:  And after.....  I sure hope that weather isn't an issue on April 8th (the earliest we've ever held the event)...

Damn Jon, do I have to make ANOTHER call in to Mother Nature?
I called her a couple weeks ago and asked for a nice day for my Detail Day on the 18th and she held to her word and it was awesome. You know she's gonna get tired of this sh**tuff!
