Well, it looks like Will Turner (owner of famed BMW Performance Tuner, Turner Motorsport -- in case you have been living in the dark) has gotten his hands on the first delivery for the limited set of Frozen Gray M3s. Bimmerfest is here to bring you some incredible pictures from the exciting delivery!

Some highlights to take note of include:
  • BMW Individual ID Tag
  • Photo of the Window Sticker
  • Warning Sticker for the Paint
  • Surprise Body Colored License Plate Frame

We will work on getting some more details about the car including some initial impressions from the gang at TMS!

Stay tuned!

Rats! I thought I had the scoop on this M3 yesterday when I picked up parts at my local BMW dealer and got a hint to take a peak at the car in lot #4 out back!

Smokin' hot looking car in person... my iPhone pics are not as sweet as those above with the car unlocked. I love the window sticker that says "Dont polish this car!" Not knowing who the lucky buyer was / is, the story on "my" M3 goes like this... a hush, hush (or insider for sure) "lottery" was in the works where the first 30 people to get BMW to answer the phone at 11:30 (AM/PM?) on a particular day got to place an order on the spot for a 1/30 limited US Spec M3s with a custom Euro only interior... as the story goes, this particular "lucky" buyer had his company all "dialing for dollars" starting at 11:29:30 and one of them (Mr. Turner?) got through at 11:30:15 while a fellow "dialing for dollars" challenger got through at 11:30:45 and was told they were sold out! Who knows if the times are accurate as my information was not first hand but what a story after a round of golf and a few beers as you head off to your "dirty" M3!

The car must have been pretty fresh as it was still in a "non-prepped" mode with a nice stream of what I thought was rust down the rear bumper (on closer inspection it was just some shipping grime). The paint is wild though, flat gray with some sparkle, reminds me of the flat black Ducati paint schemes or a custom Euro SL600 I've seen... I wonder how it will hold up and how the hell you clean / protect / seal it. Maybe is just plain doesn't matter... drive hard and SMILE!

The seats are not my idea of a great look.
Exterior Color is fine.

I do prefer my all-FR seats.

Body Colored License Plate Frame. Is this supposed to be unusual? That is what I got with my 535i.
I never put it on, but I did get it.
