Also have GS MSport on order- black leather with hex

Ordered in early July originally with week 35 build moved up to 31 and then back to 35

The Oberon is due in Port Hueneme on Sept 5th (now somewhere between the Panama Canal and Cabo San Lucas). Once it gets off-loaded my CA says it can take anywhere from 3 to 10 days to get to the dealership (depending on what order it was originally loaded on the ship - i.e. first on, last off). So it's now looking like mid-month, September before I get to see it in the flesh.

Still trying to be patient.

My CA said my ride should be available for delivery between Sept 12-14. The dealer is in Portland and guess it will have to be trucked or railed up here after it is off loaded and prepared at the VDC. I keep checking on marinetraffic.com but not within AIS range yet...

VLing:

The Oberon goes to Tacoma after Port Hueneme, I would think that's where your car would be off-loaded (due Tacoma 9/9):

Tacoma is not a BMW Port of Entry. No VDC in Tacoma. Only VDC on the west coast is Port Hueneme. My VIR indicates it will be off loaded with yours.

Greetings to All,

For the first time in many years, I no longer own a 5 Series. Age and Illness has finally overcome me, and as a disabled Engineer, I could typically handle most of my own repair work. But we are "empty-nester's" and just leased a 2013 328i. Even so I would like to remain as a member of this forum.......as I have been engaged on the forum for many years. And even though I just turned 60.........I still want to learn things about my 328i. So I guess I'll wait it out and follow the forum until something of interest awakens me. One thing for sure, I do like the 3..........takes me back to my youth when I was more "in-tune" with Sports Cars, than I was the Family Sedan.

Almost 18K miles on my 2013 and no major problems. Runs like a top and happy with this vehicle. Still love the HUD and tech package. The Xenon lighting package was well worth the cost. Only one situation so far that made me think I should have waited for XDrive. Snow storm a few months ago left me stranded and had to fine a hotel to stay for the night. No traction with RWD and Summer tires.

VLing, xdrive is worth it. I live in Northeast. Record snow this year. I never got even close to losing traction, even on terrible winding back roads. My regret is not getting some good summer runs for her.

When I ordered my F30 2013 XDrive was not available yet. My sales associate convinced my that where I live, Portland Oregon it was not necessary and I could drive my other vehicle 4WD. The temperature does not go below 32 degrees more that a couple of times a year. It only snows once or less a winter. I was looking for a RWD vehicle after driving FWD for almost two decades. RWD with Summer Performance tires is so much fun. No regrets!
