From timelines that were published earlier this year, I believe that the 4 Series cars, The F32 Coupe and F33 Cabriolet, will be released in 3Q 2013 as 2014 models. I'm not sure of the time frame for ED on these cars.

Not advice, but jealousy. I love Tuscany.

From past observation, it seems that there is often (but not always) a 6 month or so wait for ED to start after a new model comes out. It really depends on how popular BMW thinks it will be. N4S

The E93 convertible trailed the E92 coupe by 6+ months. Expect to see details on the F32 4 series coupe in the spring of 2013 with the coupe going on sale at the end of the summer 2013. F33 4 series convertible details will come out at the end of the year 2013 and will go on sale in the US in the spring of 2014.

EDIT - As mentioned ED seems to run a few months behind and xDrive might also run a few months behind the initial on sale date so factor at couple months cushion.

The E92 was available for ED from day one. I believe that the Vert was as well.

I think the history has varied. Sometimes ED is available right away, but it comes out of dealer allocation and may be no ED discount.

Overall it's hard to predict.

You never can tell but as I see it ED availability is directly related to the volume of production.
M cars are scarce main stream threes less so.

5+ years ago when i did the ED, I had wanted the newly available conv. which trailed the standard car release by 6 months
but only way to get it was to take from dealer allocation and take 328 versus 335
since the dates of my trip to Italy were fixed, I lost out on ED discount and exact model
still the 328 is fun to drive around cape cod
this time I will wait for the 4 series in AWD and then set my trip to Italy
thanks to all for your assistance
