BMW F10 5 Series M Performance Parts

BMW announced the release of a second major wave of BMW M Performance Parts designed and tested for the F10 5 Series. On sale now through all Authorized BMW Centers, BMW M Performance Parts are accessories which have been carefully developed in collaboration with BMW M GmbH to ensure an authentic transfer of racing-derived M technology into everyday driving. In addition to the first wave of 5 Series M Performance Parts which went on sale in the spring of 2012, the latest offering includes exclusive chassis, aerodynamic, and cockpit components to further intensify The Ultimate Driving Machine®.

Aero: Form follows function
The BMW 5 Series benefit from the latest release of parts with new Aerodynamic and Exterior component choices. A new BMW M Performance Rear Diffuser is offered for 528i, 535i, and 550i models, and will be joined by a new Carbon Fiber Front Splitter (see above picture) which becomes available early in 2013. An M Sport Package Retrofit kit will also become available for 5 Series models in 2013.

Interior: Show that matches your Go
On the 5 Series, the non-electronic M Performance Steering Wheel becomes available, featuring a flat-bottom rim and covered in Alcantara. A red quick-index stripe is located at the 12 O'clock location, and the wheel is finished with a carbon fiber insert with chrome BMW M Performance inlay.

Additionally a BMW M Performance Carbon Fiber Interior Trim system is now available for models with both Automatic (nine pieces) and 6-speed manual (seven pieces) transmissions. It replaces the vehicle's existing door handle pulls, center console, ashtray lid, cup holder lid, and dashboard insert with beautiful, handcrafted carbon fiber components. Each trim piece is clear-coated and polished to create visual depth and protect against UV rays. BMW M Performance Parts Stainless Steel Pedal Covers are now available for vehicles with Automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions.

M Performance Wheel and Exhaust upgrades are available for the 5 Series Sedan
The M Performance Exhaust is available for the 535i. Developed using state-of-the-art CAD and FEM technology, the stainless steel exhaust improves both the sound and the performance of the 535i. The unique chrome exhaust tips are laser-engraved with the M logo. The system reduces back pressure and lends an even sportier tone to the TwinPower Turbo Inline-6.

Unique M Performance V-spoke wheels are available for the 5 Series. The exclusive bi-color design features a high-gloss finish on the face and Orbit Gray paint between the spokes. As an option, the wheels can also be finished in Liquid Black paint. They come with Bridgestone Potenza RE050 A run-flat tires mounted and balanced. The performance tires are sized 245/35 R20 95Y up front and 275/30 R 20 in the rear.

Customers now have the ability to tailor their 5 Series to suit their performance tastes thanks to the latest enhancements from BMW M Performance Parts. These accessories are available now exclusively through your authorized BMW Center just in time for the holidays.

I'm disappointed, nothing to enhance the performance for F10 550i ?

Interesting that they have performance package for X6 50i which has the same motor as 550i. (40HP and 30 tq)

An exhaust with bright dual tips would have been nice. Apparently they don't read the forum to see how many 550 owners hate the exhaust tips - especially the black ones on the M-Sport that disappear into the black lower valence.

I agree; I really like the looks of the CF splitter. I hope they will release it in black to match my grills.

Yea this sucks BMW nothing for 550i. BMW is not going to one up MB by not offering performance upgrades for their v8TT cars.

One up M-B? I think BMW did that long ago. I agree these "Performance Parts" should have performance upgrades, but M-B doesn't offer anything near performance upgrades for an E550. In fact, they're discontinuing the E550 and replacing it with an E400 (TT V6) which is basically close to on par with a 535i, performance wise. Not to mention, BMW's V8TT has almost 50 more HP than the E550's V8 TT.

At least BMW offers more mods to differentiate your car from the rest. The M Sport Package is already a good way to set your 5 apart from most on the roads, now you have even more OEM variation options. M-B doesn't even offer a true Sport Package on the E anymore, they all come with the same standard, free "Sport Package" which means all E's look the same on the road, like fleet cars, every granny's looks the same as an enthusiast in his/her E Class, no presence via differentiation by said "Sport" packages anymore.

When it comes to catering to enthusiasts on the high volume cars, BMW is far more willing to get enthusiasts have options and pay up to make their cars a bit personalized and show some diversity on the roads.

I have had my 550xi M Sport 2014 since early March. It's a great car, but if ANY 5 series needs a performance "sounding" exhaust, it's the 550. I had a 2009 Lexus 460 prior to this and that car's engine was louder!! ( Yes, I like a quiet car at cruise - but - when you've got 448 ponies up front, I want to hear what I paid for!!)

Amen!...and especially with software upgrades pushing 500 ponies and still whisper quiet:/ not too thrilled about that

Yea I'm disappointed in my 550's exhaust as well. Even a cheap corvette offers active exhaust.. Quiet or loud with the push of a button. You would think BMW would offer a similar system on the 550? When my lease is up I'm getting a Masserati... Their ezhaust sounds amazing!
