Climb to the Clouds 5, June 29 in the White Mountains of NH
On June 29 Bimmerfesters driving any BMW model will meet for our fifth annual tour of the White Mountains! The 'high point' of the day will be an ascent of Mt. Washington (it's the "Climb to the Clouds"). It's possibly the most intense drive opportunity east of Pike's Peak. Braving a seven mile long, steeply twisting road without guardrails, with spectacular views in occasionally very challenging weather will be an adventure you'll not soon forget.Along the way we'll cross a covered bridge, possibly dodge a moose or two, tour the Kancamagus Highway (a US Scenic Byway), and experience Bear Notch Road -the condensed Dragon's Tail of NH.
We are looking into a BBQ lunch at the MWAR base lodge this year, and adding to the tour for CtoC vets who might want to get a look at a waterfall or The Flume Gorge. Details to follow later as we check things out.
We'll wrap it up with old and new friends meeting for a banquet at a country inn. This year we'll revisit the Woodstock Inn Station and Brewery which has undergone major expansion and renovation with an all new banquet room downstairs.
As we have in years past, following dinner we'll have an auction to raise a donation for charity. We have supported Susan G Komen for the Cure, and Voluntary Services Overseas. This year we have selected Survive the Drive to support. I'll leave it to Captainaudio to describe the wonderful work they do to educate youngsters in the critical skills of road safety. Bimmerfest members have been very generous in the past, both in donations for the auction, and the bidding on the items up for auction. Suffice to say, the auction is a fun and fitting end to the day.
If you'd like to get some sense of what this is all about, here's a link to last year's thread for CtoC4. Take a look at the photos and read the comments. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...948&highlight=
Here are the URL's for the sights we'll see, and a Google Map of the tour and meeting points.
This Google Map was used in previous tours and will be modified for some new scenery this year. All the highlights will remain, but there'll be some new roads of interest to the veterans.

SurvivetheDrive®
Your Best Behind The Wheel: A Teen Driver Safety Program
http://www.survivethedrive.org
Survive the Drive is an organization that promotes safe driving by teenagers and educates them on the consequences of unsafe driving practices. Survive the Drive was founded by Bob Green, Bob is an experienced racer, a Senior Skip Barber Racing School Instructor and drives the BMW M3 Pace Car at Lime Rock Park. Well known racers Sam Posey, Bob Sharp are on the board of directors of Survive the Drive as was the late John Fitch until his death last year.
This is a very worthy cause and is especially applicable to our event as it is automobile related and as many of the Climb to the Clouds participants are parents of young drivers.
SurvivetheDrive® is an independent, not-for-profit, educational organization educating drivers of all ages, particularly vulnerable and inexperienced teenage drivers, about the often hideous and everlasting results of inattentive driving.
The primary goal is to reach every newly or soon-to-be licensed teen (or adult) through the use of a multi-media presentation by Bob Green. He focuses the students on the detrimental activity of texting, reading, drinking, phoning and any other activities that remove conscious understanding of the ever-present operational hazards of heavy, moving equipment. Bob calls this type of driving 'Driving While Oblivious' (DWO) and results in driver error in 93% of all crashes. Past and present novice driver training and DMV driver testing results have been shown to have little deterrent effect on these crash rates.
SurvivetheDrive presentations can be scheduled as a single assembly or as an accompanying presentation that will focus on each student's competence and the desire to be their "Best Behind the Wheel."

MT WASHINGTON HOTEL UPDATES HERE
3/7 Update: Main hotel is full for Sat night, we are working on getting more rooms. Some of the issue is people only booking one night (e.g., Saturday), so there are rooms on Fri night, but not Saturday night. Please book Bretton www.brettonwoods.com using the code and Lodge. I recommend calling the reservation desk ( 1-888-444-6664) as opposed to the website. As of today there is availability in both Bretton and Lodge. If you would like to stay at the main hotel you can always book Fri night at the main (still has availability) and sat night at the Bretton and Lodge. Please let us know if you book outside of the group block. We want to make sure that bimmerfest gets credit for every guest we bring in
Hey all. CaptainAudio and I worked with Mt Washington to get us some great rates.
- Mount Washington Hotel Main: Double Occupancy (kids free): $229/night
- Bretton Arms Hotel: Double Occupancy (kids free) $229/night. Includes Breakfast
- Lodge Hotel: Double Occupancy (kids free) $139/night
- Waived hotel amenity fee
- Bimmerfest Climb To the Clouds code -> 062613BIMMERFES
Those who join the rewards program:You can opt to stay one or two nights. You can also opt to stay longer. If you book there please let CaptainAudio know so we can track and know when to add rooms to the block. Reserve the rooms fast as there are limited spots at these rates!
We highly recommend you stay here, though you can stay anywhere. As one of our stops this makes it easy for folks to quickly change/wash up before dinner. Friday night we tend to hang out getting some food together, relaxing on the veranda, and drinking scotch in their oppulant lobby! Saturday night, after the long day, we hang out late night drinking and chatting.

If I fly into EWR will you scoop me up before you head north?

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll be able to be there. A competing family event has come up on the same weekend.

Ha! In the spirit of driving "any BMW model," we just might come with the GT. I remember being asked to bring some picnic gear, we can probably accommodate another 25 festers in the cabin and of course effectively clutter the Mt. Washington road, during the climb.
Let the teasing begin!
February 27, 2013, 9:29 am
Cut and pasted from MWOBS, the official website of the Mount Washington Observatory (pay no attention to the "vehicular accidents" bit, the last person to go over the side was a well lubed Harley rider whose last words were reportedly "Watch this!" :
Surviving Mount Washington
Among the reasons for fatal accidents on Mount Washington are:
- HYPOTHERMIA
- DROWNING
- FALLING ICE
- AVALANCHES
- FALLS
- NATURAL CAUSES
- VEHICULAR ACCIDENTS
- CAUSES UNKNOWN
At 6,288 feet, Mount Washington claims the title of the Northeast's highest peak. While its height may not be especially impressive by global standards, Mount Washington rates as anything but an ordinary mountain. For one, its climate is similar to that of Northern Labrador, hundreds of miles further north. Three major storm tracks converge over the mountain, forming harsh and turbulent weather conditions. Above treeline, alpine conditions prevail and only the hardiest plants and animals survive. The combination of the extreme wind, fog, wet and cold have dubbed Mount Washington "Home of World's Worst Weather".Many seriously underestimate the conditions atop Mount Washington. Within a day's drive of nearly 70 million people, this mountain is highly accessible and frequently visited. Visitors often arrive unprepared for the stark, blustery weather they encounter above treeline. Here, temperatures typically remain 20 to 30 degrees F colder than in the neighboring valleys, while visibility can be limited to 100 feet and winds fierce. Hikers who anticipate valley-like weather conditions at the summit are unpleasantly surprised when they find themselves severely underdressed and exposed to the elements. Even those visiting the summit in summer via automobile and cog railway may find themselves chilled as they step out into much cooler and potentially winter-like conditions.
The vast majority of the quarter million people who visit the summit each year experience no problems whatsoever. Yet each year several "close calls" accentuate the dangers of the mountain. More than 135 fatalities have occurred on and around Mount Washington since 1849, many of them involving ill-prepared hikers, skiers and climbers. There is no room for poor judgement and carelessness in this unforgiving mountain environment.
To gain an understanding of the harsh conditions atop the mountain, observe the following statistics.
February 27, 2013, 9:33 am
Furby - For the block booking, I will want Friday and Saturday night at the main hotel. That's a great rate. Late arrival on Friday. I am happy to help with the Flume Gorge trip - people just follow the blue Subaru Forester! We'll call it the "Plunge to the Pool", sorry P2P1 (needs work, makes it sound like a bathroom trip) to make it special!
I will also have an unused BMW OEM sunglasses holder in grey (that doesn't match anthracite headliner) and a much-sought-after "Grumpy Old Men" abstract montage for the auction.

Hey Zeichen,

May I suggest Bradley International (BDL - Hartford, CT) as an alternative? If the fares are not unreasonable it's a much better option. For starters, it's five minutes off my route, whereas EWR while not inconvenient would be a significant detour (minimum half-hour added, plus traffic delays). I think flight times would be more convenient in both directions, too--I pass through the area early afternoon, both ways. We wouldn't reach EWR until early evening on the return leg.
I believe Bradley also gives you a backup plan for ground transport: Team Bemo!

On an unrelated (or is it) note, look at what this past weekend's drive turned up. If you're wondering about the driver, it was a well dressed elderly gentleman and his female companion. I am starting to accumulate some nice items for the auction.
I have two copies of Formula One at Watkins Glen by Michael Argetsinger.
Michael is the son of Cameron Argetsinger, the founder of racing at Watkins Glen. All proceeds from the original purchase of the book go to The International Motor Racing Research Center in Watkins Glen and all proceeds from the auction go to Survive the Drive so purchasing one of these books will support two worthy causes.

I zoomed in on a photo of the Hotel Mount Washington I took last year and found that the place indeed is haunted!
I did some research and found that two of the workers who built the hotel were Professor Thaddeus Cook (who was the structural engineer) and Nunzio Machina (an Italian master mechanic). According to the story they were so involved with the place that they refused to leave when they were done with their work and it is believed that their ghosts have been seen peering from the South Tower. It is also rumored that their descendants feel compelled to visit the hotel every year.
I also found out the story about a British Goatherd that haunts the hotel is an urban (or in this case rural) legend.

Put me in as tentative now. The room block at the hotel is now full (we didn't get a return call last week despite several attempts and they just called back to say they were full).
This was the big hook to make the trip for us this year.
If Furby has enough swing to get an extra few rooms at the main hotel, we'd like one as we aren't really interested in staying at the lodge.

Thanks to CA and Furby for extending the room block for us! Although I regret feeling indebted smehow to Furby now, I will get over it by June - probably by annihilating his candy ass on Call of Duty: Black Ops II over the coming months.

We'll know he's at CtoC V if we spot the world's largest amoeba driving an F30.
I'm about to take my F30 out for its weekly nighttime joyride. Some fantastic highways through mountains here in Northern NJ (who knew?) and with some snow coming tomorrow got to get some 4 cylinder turbo thrills in before the weekend.
I'll be up for the drive this year, definitely, going to take my middle son since my biggest went with me a few years back. He still has close friends in NH, so after the drive we'll be heading a bit south to stay with friends, you'll have to stay at the decrepit Mount Washington Erosion Factory without moi.

Now that word is out that BJ wont be staying there the demand for rooms has completely overwhelmed them. The were actually considering building an addition to the main hotel to accommodate the unprecedented demand but realized that there was just not enough time to have it completed by June 28th.

CA made me aware of a few runs that we should adopt down here for Bimmerfesters, specifically the Storm King Highway and the Seven Lakes Drive up by Bear Mountain.
Instead of climbing up a mountain at 15 MPH, we whooooosh through windy roads around mountains and lakes at 60 MPH. It's very cool. I nominate it as Climb To The Clouds Slightly South for 2014.

I may be bringing a different car - my wife's M35x - as Chuck says, there'll be plenty of BMW's on hand, but there's only one Sharon (my wife)
Thanks Chuck
Sharon has some back issues, so a comfy car is a necessity for her, the five hours jaunt from CT to NH, then another five the day of the drive would wipe her out in my car, so if we decide it's doable for her, the Infiniti it is.
We also picked up another couple, my friends Jonathan and his wife Cheryl, who have an X5 turbo.
Then there's Stephanie with her M3 LR edition - could be an interesting group indeed!!

We have enough BMW's in our ranks now that we don't need no Porsche's muddying up the waters anymore. Lets get rid of them.
Anyone who couldn't bring their BMW but at least owns one should be allowed to drive at the very back of the pack for cruises and hitch a ride to the top so as to be seated in a BMW for the ascent.
The Skip Barber orange thing should go last so the rest of us don't have to hear its noisy engine the whole way up.
F30's get special treatment and the right-of-way in all driving/parking situations. Followed by E46's and then E9X's.
Nevermind. As long as I get a special decal recognizing the F30's greatness all will be well.

- You must fabricate a temporary license tag with your production number. Laser- or inkjet-printed artwork is acceptable but construction paper and crayon is preferred.
- Affix it to your non-BMW rental ride (example below).
- Have BJ tow you up the auto road while you make "vroom, vroom!" engine noises the whole trip. (Extra points for "pshew!" turbocharger bypass noises.)
For safety, you may want to attach the tow rope to the body, not the handle, so you can retain some steering control. By the time you reach the top your lips will be numb, your backside will be bruised raw and you'll be so tired of staring at the back of an F30 that you'll come to your senses, cancel the order and go rescue Bob.March 12, 2013, 11:53 am

SO what about this scenario. Technically speaking I no longer own a BMW (I don't own a car...first time since 16). I do have a production number for a new car. If it doesn't make it back in time for C2C, would I be allowed up?

Ah, but the illustrious Turner Motorsport company will have launched a whammy bar for my F30 by then, so the only 'swaying' I'll be doing is to the beat of ABBA's "The Winner Takes It All" as I pilot the historic first-climb in F30 history, becoming the highest Luxury-liner in the country. And as I look down upon the rest of BMW Nation, I shall kneel and suckle my Luxury line door sills in celebration.

The orange M3 is the "Lime Rock Edition" M3, not the "Skip Barber Orange" M3. I would have thought that a former lessee of an "M328i x-drive Wal-Mart Special Edition" M-car would have recognized this low production volume model!

We will be attending all three events. After the March 23rd and May 11th events we will be going to dinner at the Falls Village in. If anyone is interested in joining us send me a PM.
Survive the Drive, dedicated to motivating and informing teenage drivers to understand and adopt safe driving behaviors, is offering car and racing enthusiasts a unique opportunity to view unique street and racecars at three of New England’s premier restoration facilities. With one tour scheduled each month from March through May, the tour offers enthusiasts the opportunity to view and discuss the history and restoration of the various collections in each of the shops.
March 23rd, 2-4 PM - Don Breslauer’s – DBEnterprises in Lakeville, CT
Don’s credentials include competition and restoration at Group 44, the Triumph racing team in northern VA, Milestone Racing in Wilton, CT fabricating and maintaining Tony Adamowitz’s Trans Am Championship U2 Porsche and, later, Tony’s series winning Gurney Formula A Eagle. Don opened shop in Salisbury Ct in early 1985. His creative craftsmanship, engineering and detailed restorations have gained him a solid reputation in his field. Don’s present project list includes a rare, Vanden Plas (all aluminum bodied), 1934 Alvis, a 1967 Piper GT, Sam Posey’s Formula Ford track day car, and three 1953 Cunninghams, two of twenty coupes and one of five convertibles produced.
Single Day Event $100.00
April 20th Kent Bain’s – Automotive Restorations in Stratford, CT
Kent’s shop has a staff of 40 trained professionals to handle any form of automotive restoration work, from forming bodywork to tuning your injectors. Kent oversees racecar prep and support, concours transport, participation and can frequently be seed judging at the more prestigious car shows. His facility is packed with Vintage Rolls Royce and Austin, Gullwing Mercedes, Alfa Romeos, even a hot rod 1930’s hearse.
Single Day Event $100.00
May 11th Brian Donovan’s – Donovan Motorcar Service in Lenox, Ma
Brian began Donovan Motorcar Service in 1990 and offers both restoration and vintage racing support services. His successful E-type Jaguars can be seen campaigning at the major vintage events in the northeast along with the client cars he supports.
His road cars include Arlo Guthrie’s Mercedes 220A SC Cabriolet, a uniquely restored 1966 E-type Jaguar, an XK 150 FHC, a 1937 Cord Beverly Sedan, and yes even a very nicely restored 1941 Ford pick up.
Single Day Event $100.00
Attendance is limited to 25 enthusiasts per event. To reserve your place for the dates on the tour, contact Joy Martorell ljoy@survivethedrive.org, 860-435 1054 or 860 671-1543 cell

Another option would be if she is signed into her Google account, and has that picture stored in one of her e-mails, google+, etc. Google will show your pictures when you do a search for similar areas. For example, if i am signed in, and do a search for Cayman Islands, I will see some of my cayman island photos. Not because I am famous, but because they are associated with my account

Dear Mr. Bemo
Please be advised that my client, Donald Samuel Xavier Machina, passed away recently due to extreme mortification. His health had been in a continuing state of decline since he posted late last year that the photographs in question "will be posted this weekend".
Apparently life interfered, and now most unfortunately, his early demise has interfered.
Rest assured though that I have managed to locate the pictures in question. They are beautiful high density, collector quality photographs of many sharp BMWs (and for unknown reasons a ratty looking Ford Taurus) passing through a covered bridge, and ascending a mountain. All are tagged with the owners' names. Most surprisingly there do not seem to be any tagged 'Bemo', should there be?
Watch for them to be mailed soon. Probably this weekend.
E. T. Scheiss, Esq.
PS: The family requests that any remembrance be made in cash. Though it is true you can't take it with you, those left behind would certainly enjoy it.

URGENT - HELP ME DISTRIBUTE MY $15 MILLION TO CHARITY
IN SUMMARY:- I have 15,000,000.00 (fifteen million) U.S. Dollars and I want you to assist me in distributing the money to charity organizations. I agree to reward you with part of the money for your assistance, kindness and participation in this Godly project. This mail might come to you as a surprise and the temptation to ignore it as unserious could come into your mind but please consider it a divine wish and accept it with a deep sense of skepticism.
I am Mr Obah Babbarabamabatundibabba (my friends call me Phyllis) and I am a 55 years old man. I am a South African living in the Garden City of Port Oilslick.
- Nigeria. I was the President/CEO and janitor of TOMOBA OIL LIMITED - an oil servicing comapny in Port Oilslick . I was also married with two children. My wife and two children died in a car accident six years ago. Before this happened my business and concern for making money was all I was living for and I never really cared about other people.
But since the loss of my family, I have found a new desire to exploit the helpless. I have been helping orphans in orphanages/motherless homes and women in houses of ill repute. I have donated some money to orphans in Sudan, Ethiopia, Cameroon,Spain,Austria,Germany, New Jersey and some Asian countries.
Before I became ill, I kept $15 Million in a long-term deposit account in The West Bank of the Hudson River (WBHR). Presently, I am in the hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for hypochondriasis and my doctors have told me that I have only a few minutes to live. It is my last wish to see this money distributed to charity organizations. Because my relatives and friends has plundered so much of my wealth since my illness, I cannot live with the agony of entrusting this huge responsibility to any of them.
Please, I beg you in the name of God to help me collect the $15 Million and the interest accrued on the deposit from WBHR and distributes it amongst charity organizations.
You are at liberty to use your discretion to distribute the money and feel free as well to reimburse yourself when you have the money for any expenses you incur in the course of collecting and distributing the money to charity organizations. I am willing to reward you for your assistance and kindness.
Kindly expedite action and contact me via e-mail: Babbarabamabatundibabba@spam.com if this proposal is acceptable to you.
May the good Lord bless you and your family.
Best Regards,
Mr Obah Babbarabamabatundibabba

Hello All,
It is with a sad heart that I will not be able to attend this year. The brand spanking new BMW, being custom built just for me (TrueStatus®), will be picked up in Germany, on May 10 with a drop off of May 17. Unfortunately with 10 week delivery (PDC), it will not be possible to get it in time for C2C. I was really looking forward to attending this year, and leading the Performance group on Bear Notch
DSX -> You get to keep your leadership spot this year!
I will still be assisting CA with the charitable portion, and will look forward to attending next year.

However, I need some clarification. In the Luxury category, does a 2013 528i trump a 2009 328i E93? Furthermore, does a 2013 528i trump a 2013 L328i? Just asking.

I have a solution for the "Whose got the right to go first" dilemma.
The cost for attending c2c5 is $30.00 all of which will go to Survive the Drive. Additional contributions are not required but would be greatly appreciated. To show our thanks to those that are the most generous they will be allowed to be at the head of the line of cars, get waited on first at dinner, use the rest rooms, etc.
Additionally we have spoken to the Mount Washington Auto Road and they have agreed to arrange for good weather for the top 10 contributors. The rest will probably be driving in a sleet storm similar to the one at C2C3.
I understand that this gives an unfair advantage to our wealthiest members who will undoubtedly put the rest of us to shame but if you find yourself at the end of the line keep in mind that you are being humiliated for a good cause.
We will be including these in the Swag Bags for those that are relegated to the end of the line.
P.S. The rest room privileges are a hell of an incentive, we do a lot of driving and it is a long time to hold it in.

(A long-time colleague of mine has begun to suffer from bouts of project-management and consulting jargon. We don't know how to treat it because he cannot avoid continuous exposure. The poor guy used "ask" as a noun at least twice this week alone--even after I ribbed him about the first infraction! I fear this may be incurable.)

Kat, I will venture to guess you failed because the linguistic center of your brain, like mine, considers this particular misapplication anathema. Somehow, substitution of "ask" for request, question, inquiry and the like is creeping into the business lexicon. I can't even construct a decent example because it is so unnatural! (Best I can do is a fragment, heard last week: "anticipate the ask."
It drives me even further up a wall than similar faux pas seen here ("install" for installation, etc.), probably because at least here, it's casual not professional. It would be a fatal career decision for me to attempt to enlighten the most grievous offenders!

While all this "group leader" stuff makes for interesting reading for those out of towner BMW pilots, we native Kanc pilots simply laugh at this "who's on first" role playing fantasy.
I plan to wipe the bum of any wannabe 3 series pilot through any of the chosen routes we have available to us. That's including the Bear Notch skills test..
I've seen the competition and it doesn't impress me. Either bring your racing shoes or bring your wine tasting talents.
I've laid down the gauntlet. I now say....bring it.

This is a fine can of worms...advice needed! As you all know we always award a free M6 to the person travelling the longest distance to attend the event. Right now we have one 'Fester from Houston and one from Wichita who will be joining us. According to preliminary calculations, Houston is 66 more miles distant than Wichita, but that's by road. If you fly the great circle route the opposite may be true. What to do? Do we cut the M6 in half this year?
April 7, 2013, 11:21 pm
April 7, 2013, 11:31 pm
As we have driven Houston to KC, and I know it to be more than 66 miles, I am not quite sure how you managed that calculation. However, based on the wisdom of Solomon, I would much rather you award the M6 to someone else than render it completely useless. I am quite content with my lowly 328i E93.

@CaptainAudo - Great job on the site - really well done. You misspelled anonymous on the site for the rolex. May want to fix that or someone may think it's a fake

Having been awarded a Rolax at CtoC3 I can verify that they are indeed genuine Rolax. If not, I would be very embarrassed to admit that I regifted it to a good friend who was overcome with emotion.

My 328i E92 is still a sweet little car. 'Time to put the summers back on. (Finally!)

I don't think it is feasible for me to come. With the Roommate (TM) not able to attend, and the cost of getting a room solo, plus the ED trip, wedding, and honeymoon it would be irresponsible to spend a ton of money solo. On the other hand, I plan to dial in to the auction so i can bid on items

1. Your Bimmerfest Screen Name
2. How many are in your party?
3. What are their names? (I need this so I can make up name tags - I only need first names.)
4.Which day are you attending?
5. Where are you staying?
6. What is your email address? (So we can establish a mailing list. We can only send a PM to 5 people at a time and this gets cumbersome with 30+ people committed so far.)
Thanks,

Napoleon is one of the five monkeys left standing at the inaugural C2C...I guess it is C2C1 now. DSX, Napoleon, ProfessorCook, nhman and myself. Captainaudio was there in spirit if not in body. We all discovered that we had no friends and no where to go on a Saturday...so we sat down and had dinner. It quickly became apparent why DSX had no friends - who causes a ruckus over a hamburger in a place like that???? We figured we needed DSX to organize future trips, so we let him stay.
April 11, 2013, 10:57 am
Okay, so I made it to 4 and now 5. We'll see how long I'm allowed to stay for. I don't ruckus in public.

The bad news is that you will have to pay twice.
The good news is that you get two name tags.
I'll post an updated list later tonight.
On another note today was a track day for the Lime Rock Drivers Club. I took a bunch of Climb to the Clouds Brochures (that right we have brochures) and passed them around. Two of the members are planning on coming. One will bring Lime Rock Edition M3 another couple will bring their 25 year old BMW. I told them that we did not usually allow old, out, out of style low status BMWs to attend but in their case we would make an exception.
That's right, they may be being an M1!

I am really looking forward to taking this on the "Notch" and MWAR.

Unique -> One of a kind (one of the most widely abused words)
Rare -> Limited group, but not unique (though sometimes people apply it to a unique item)
Special -> Varied meanings that isn't necessarily positive. You know, when your mother says "The kids may call you weird, but really you are special, now run along don't miss the short bus sweetie"

Professor Cook was off to a good start until he started making snow angels.
DSX had a few fireworks left from last Fourth of July and began blasting the snow out of the way.
I was busy at work but was able to send one of my interns to help out.
BJ showed up with a "StatusPlow".
He didn't actually plow any snow, he just sat in the parking lot and made the regular Mount Washington Auto Road crew so jealous they parked their plows and went home.
The crew will be back in action this weekend. Additional volunteers would be greatly appreciated.
