Valencia Orange Z4

Some times it looks more Copper color than Orange - however its unique and bright! It has Premium Audio - something I missed on my 2009 -Z-4 - and also Auto 7 speed Transmission - I still tried to push in the clutch to drive it - haha !

Great car - here are some Photos - enjoy

Sweet...nice looking car and color! What do you think of the LED light rings, i.e. your daytime running lights? My red z4 arrives tomorrow in SoCal and should be at the dealership a few days later.

I've got to admit I wasn't real sure about this color when I heard talk of it. But after seeing your pics I must say it is gorgeous. Love the exterior color and the interior is awesome. Also my favorite wheels as well. Well done. ps The LED strip is cool also.

Well... I've already seen your car... in person! Congrats.

We've been considering the HO interior in the extended leather as you have it, and I search online to see if there was one in the states yet to look at. Two came up, one in PA and one at Circle BMW in NJ... yours! The wife and I had to go up to Long Island this past Saturday and we "swung" by in hopes to see it.

They told us it was sold and were very concerned about letting us see it since it was sold. We promised we wouldn't touch it, and only asked if they could open the door or window. So I can assure you they took very good care of it/you!!

We love the Deep Sea Blue, and now that we've seen your interior we know that combo will look great.

Congrats again! Beautiful car!

Forgot to add/ask... so how do you like the feel of the Alcantara seats? Since we couldn't actually sit in YOUR car!

The Seats grab you, not easy to spin around, but its a warm feeling - not like cold leather - dark roof liner too which is nice - also the Pass thru is standard, as well as blue tooth and Comfort Access. I like the seats- also the pull out section for more support on your legs !

I had these wheels (293) on my 2009, and never had problems with cracking like the 296 wheels had, and since I did not want all the workings exposed, and that the 293 rims never cracked, that's why I sold the 515 wheels -and run flats . The New car has Michilin Pilots on it - and the 293 rims as you see in the photos - What a ride difference too - expensive to buy 4 new rims, and tires, also the Tire Mobility kit - (in case of flats - to pump up and seal the tire) -but it was well worth doing !

Thanks for your interest !

Love the car, color and interior. The whole package.
I too have the 293 wheels. No one gives these wheels any love.
I love them, the look and as stated, the strength. I specifically looked for these wheels on any Z 35i I considered for purchase as my 1st requirement
Fantastic car. Congrats.

Bingo !

I used to clean them myself - now for 2 bucks extra- the car wash does it with high powered steam !

Thanks !

Thanks, I hope not too soon, but am sure many will get this - specially with the Michilin Pilots - instead of the run flats ! - Great handling - best investment I ever did with a Z-4

Drive to McKinney and you'll find another Orange Z4. It has everything that NNRT has but a different look on the wheels. Go to "My Garage" for a quick look.

OP: Gorgeous car, gorgeous colour combo...though I'm a touch biased I picked up a Hyper Orange package car identical to yours except it's the M Sport package with a slightly different front air dam and a few little M-labeled pieces. Thoroughly enjoying the 7spd DCT and 3.0 TT engine (identical to what's in my 2013 135i, but with a far nicer exhaust note).

As for the Alacantara, be a little careful - it takes stains easily and is NOT easy to clean (ask me how I know).

I haven't seen many of this colour combo. I split my time between SF, LA, and NY and have yet to see another one IRL. It's both a blessing and a curse to have "the Orange BMW roadster" in a given city (most of the cops and the valet guys in the East Bay and much of SF know the car)...so while you get the best parking space, you also can't drive like too much of a hooligan

RE: seats - have you found the little rocker switch on the front left of the driver's seat that lets you adjust the side bolsters (as on the M3/135i M Sport/M5)? Love that this lets me have the seats almost flat when I'm on the freeway, and tight and enveloping when I'm carving through canyons.

Enjoy...and congratulations on finding a lovely ride!

(Sorry for reposts, I am trying to get every owner's opinion on the Hyper Orange package)

Phil, ABSOLUTELY a wonderful car. I am thinking of doing an ED for a 2015 z4. I'm still in the research phase. I'm buying this car for my wife and she loves the Deep Sea Blue Metallic color. For the interior, the pictures of Hyper Orange Package looks WONDERFUL but haven't seen any in person and don't know whether it will be good with the deep sea blue. I have found a 35i in Valencia Orange exterior with Hyper Orange package but the dealer is almost 2 hours away from our house. I might end up going there this weekend just to make sure the hyper orange interior looks as wonderful as in the pictures.

Anyhow, just wanted to know your opinion on the hyper orange package? Also, there are 4 types of interior for this package which confuse me a little:
- Alcantara/leather Black/Orange with Black color world
- Extended Alcantara/leather Black/Orange with Black color world
- Alcantara/leather Black/Orange with Black/Orange color world
- Extended Alcantara/leather Black/Orange with Black Orange color world

I can see the difference between "black color world" and "black orange color world" being in the orange leather of the doors in the latter but can't quite understand the difference of the Extended versions. Any thoughts?

Not an experienced Z4 owner yet, but did pick up mine on Feb 7th in Munich. Car's still stuck in Bremerhaven waiting to be loaded in a ship :-(

Shout out to Greg Poland of Pacific BMW for another smooth European Delivery experience!

Did orange paint with black roof.
Interior I chose extended black color world.

Extended just means you get black leather on the dash board and the top of the door. Purely cosmetics. Looks nice though.
I just got it because of the insane residual and it hardly added anything to the monthly payment.

I opted for Black color world (instead of orange) so the interior doesn't look quite as funky/progressive. Don't get me wrong, love the Orange world too but was just a tad too much for me.

One suggestion: think about whether you want to order the smokers package. It actually looks nicer because there is a nice cover in front of the gear shifter. BUT it is literally not useful (unless you smoke).

If you opt out (it comes standard with the smokers package, which I learned at delivery) you do get a usable tray to place your sunglasses.
Again, tray doesn't look as slick but is useful. I will need to store my sunglasses in the side door.

Hope this helps in making the right calls!

My next Z4 will probably be a CPO 2014 Valentia Orange. I will probably have to do a nationwide search to find a low mileage one I like. If any of you get tired of yours in 18-24 months, PM me.

My only two issues. 1) can I live with the hyper orange interior in Texas? My cream beige stays relatively cooler than black. 2) Can a true Horned Frog really have an orange car? Will my friends think I sold out to be a Texas t-shirt fan?

Thanks for all the info and congrats on your recent pickup and Europe trip. How was it? I haven't placed my order yet, but am super excited about the trip. One of my worries although is how much luggage can my wife and I fit in the trunk of the z4 for a 14 day trip. I'm sure she's not gonna like it

After your description of what extended means, I looked closer at the pictures on the bmw website and yes, it does add some leather parts to the dashboard and doors. The pictures sure look nice, so might as well get the extended version. What do you mean exactly by "got it because of the insane residual"? Does having extra leathers increase the residual?

I don't know why, but somehow I like the orange lines and stitching on the seats but not really the orange trim pieces on dashboard and doors.

As for your last tip, I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean by "smokers package"? I didn't see any mention of this neither on BMW website nor in the 2015 z4 ordering guide. Do you mean that we have the option to not have the tray and have a small empty storage space for say, sunglasses? I'm sure it would come handy as neither of us smokes. Should I mention this to my dealer or bring it up at the Welt? Also, will removing this "smokers package" remove the little 12V plug thingy as well?
KlausT commented:

Trip was great - as always when I get the chance to visit my home country. :-)

Re luggage space: extremely limited. Top down and it's basically zero. Top up and you will manage but try out your luggage situation at a local dealer.

My comment on the residual was just that I was fortunate enough to lock the October 14 lease terms. The residual was 72 or 73 for a 32 month lease, I think. Just got lucky.

On the smokers package - yes, you will definitely need to let your dealer know that you do not want it. It is standard on the US models. And they wouldn't naturally ask you about it.
DslDwg commented:

A lot of us have done ED's in Z4's but I would definitely recommend taking the luggage that you intend to bring to the dealer and fit it in a Z4 just to be sure. Pieces that have some flexibility work better.

No way you could go two weeks with the top down. You'll have to get where you're going unload then top down.

Residuals are based on the model and length of the lease. I would assume as long as they keep the Z in the catalog without a redesign that residuals will be favorable. To put it into perspective I bought my Z two years ago at 63% and many of the SUV's go for low 50's. At 73% on an ED your payments would be sub $500/mo. with a loaded car.

Here's a couple of pics of what we brought along.

Thanks for the tip and the pictures. Taking the luggage to the dealer is definitely the plan. I've also found a few links on Bimmerfest for different "custom made" luggage sets for z4 that claim to work even with the top down:
- http://www.carsuitcases.com/Roadster...ggage-BMW.html (I think ships from Germany)

Don't know if we'll get one of these but they look promising.
DslDwg commented:
March 17, 2015, 7:34 pm

I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you haven't thought about.

The engineered luggage looks nice - very clean. If you're going as a couple it's going to be hard to fit everything into those two little bags. Which means the passenger will either have luggage between their legs or on their lap.

Short trip, very light packers maybe. Two weeks with at least one heavy packer probably not.
soheilk commented:
March 17, 2015, 7:41 pm

You are absolutely right. My wife is definitely not in the "light packers" category so will have to definitely go by your "You'll have to get where you're going unload then top down" suggestion

Mine too. Just ED #2 in the dead of winter which just added to the challenge.
