Don't usually see the 7 making anyone's best list. Maybe a victim of expectations, its expected to be the best.

I agree with his sentiment (and one of the biggest reasons I got the car) is that it's a comfortable limo one minute and the next you are carving it up.

Agree with his review, I never realize how large the car is until I see someone else driving one lol.

Now, imagine having three 7 Series, and then switch to a RR Ghost or Phantom. That is BIG!!! LOL

Here in the Midwest, they are so rare you just have to stop and stare.

Yeah I've never seen one here in Michigan, saw a Maybach 62 a few times but it just doesn't seem like most people even know what it is lol.

With all due respect to our fellow past-BMWer, Deutsch - I don't know if I would ever drive a car like that out on the road. I would be afraid of people keying and vandalizing it wherever I parked. Ive seen too many youtube videos of damaged exotics, that is people who are jealous of someone's success feel the need to destroy someone's property. Not just lit on fire, but keyed, slashed tires, rocks & bricks at the window, headlights/taillights smashed out, etc

And it's not just the keying that would intimidate me, it's people parking next to you purposely door dinging you, or brushing their jeans/purse/etc against... yikes!

But enough of me ranting...

I'm glad the 7er is included, I fully agree with him that our cars fulfill a duality of roles. It can be a very quick monster, but also can be extremely quiet and comfortable, at least when the runflats are removed. The car is so smooth over pavement I could write a letter on the center console while driving on the freeway. Our CA freeways aren't the worst in the country, but they're certainly not the best. My 7er is as fast as my 300SRT8 which was purpose built to be a modern muscle car. I call that awesome that this car can fulfill both roles, and well.

I'm with you ChrisF01,
The current class warfare would make me afraid to drive the darn thing.
Talk about asking for trouble... I see a guy regularly driving a Phantom Drophead Coupe around town with the plate "1PERCNT".
I give him credit. That takes some brass balls!
Beautiful car though. Love it.

Yeah, sometimes it is VERY uncomfortable (well, it's always very comfortable, lol) driving the Phantom Sedan around town...Target, grocery store, gym, Home Depot, etc. etc. For the most part, people have been very polite and full of compliments!
