2 Series totalled on Autobahn
One of BMW's test drivers got it all wrong in this 2 series test mule. While cruising down the autobahn at an unknown speed they lost control totaling the 2er. Thankfully their was no major injuries and the driver walked away with some scrapes and bruises.

That's one way to crash test it I guess.

Makes me wonder if these cars are insured under their new designations...
That driver has a world first though!

At least we know that this car proves that it will protect its driver in a high speed crash I guess.

The car isn't "totaled" as it probably doesn't have any collision coverage.

It is likely just self-insured for liability by BMW AG or under a blanket test vehicle policy, with no vehicle-specific designations.
Hopefully they at least get some good data out of the collision and the engineer wasn't injured.

With that camouflage the guard rail didn't see the car coming and didn't get out of the way.
