2014 BMW F33 4 Series Convertible Unveiled

BMW 4 Series Convertible Revealed

Just saw this. Great looking car! Can't wait to order one

Some good pics of the 4 Series convertible were leaked. Apparently the pics were leaked from an accessories catalog, that wasn't supposed to be released yet. Someone made a mistake an now you get to see the 4 Series convertible in all it's glory, no camo. The convertible looks to mirror the Coupe, minus the top. I would like to see a no-camo shot with the top up, but I'm sure we'll see it soon enough.

The F33 goes into production in November with an expected on sale date of early next year.

Kinda looks like a Chrysler.

Because of that front-end treatment I only like the M-Sport version of the 4 series.

Ricardo Montalbán would approve, without a doubt.

IMHO the E46 convertible looked a whole lot better.

There's no such thing as "accidentally revealed" ... these photo leaks are marketing ploys.

Having said that, it is pretty, and clearly aimed at the mid-sized Mercedes convertible buyer - man, what's happened to the 3 series?

the shark fin is completely gone...not like E93 where it was on the trunk...wonder what the alternative is

Looks good to me. Not sure where the "looks like a Chrysler" comment comes from. Its a 4 series with a top down. Pretty sure the 4 series "below the top" is different than a Chrysler

Nah, it doesn't. It looks like a F32 without the roof.

Saddle Brown sport seats! And Anthracite Wood trim! And both available on the M-Sport!

Thank you God.

The sharkfin won't be "gone" for the US market. Those pics are euro cars where the sharkfin is not automatically attached to the car.

I had to dig deep in 2009 to get my car built without it.

Actually, the Chrysler 200 is a nice looking car.

You know, one of the things BMW has always been able to execute better than anyone else is to keep the trunk lines of the hardtop cabrio lower than any of the other guys out there. Our trunks sit much lower than Lexus, Volvo, VW or Chrysler. While I'm not going to rush out and trade in my E93, I anticipate that the F33 will still maintain the non- bubble butt look of its competitors. If I could just get over the snout that looks like it needs a nose job, and the lack of a naturally aspirated inline 6 engine, I might be thinking the E93 was in line for replacement. Point in fact, at this point I can see no viable reason to replace the E93. Form, function and capability are all still A-Okay!!

I agree with you. I really like our E93, but my wife absolutely loves it. There is no way we are parting with our car anytime soon, especially since it's replacement does not appear to offer much in the way of an upgrade, if at all.

"The convertible looks to mirror the Coupe, minus the top." Um, yeah. :-)

I feel the same way. The new convertible looks OK but it does not incite an overwhelming desire to replace the E93. I will certainly test drive one when they become available but in light of my well documented ambivalence to BMW as a brand it will be one car on a list of several possibilities.

The 4 Series convertible may very well remain the class leader among 4 seat retractable hardtops as I don't see what I view as any viable competition currently available. If we decide on another car of that type the 435 or the M4 would be logical choices.
