Hey guys, I just got some BMW Brand wheel cleaner, the new bottle, not the stuff they've had around for years, it's amazing! It changes color and works really well. I'd say it's as good as Sonax Full Effect, but cheaper.

This a the bottle of the new stuff

I love Sonax FE. When I saw this at the dealer a few weeks ago I bought the whole shelf. I think I paid just under $7 per bottle where I was paying $16 for Sonax. It works just as well.

It may be Sonax white-labeled as BMW brand. Glad to see there's a cheaper alternative!

It's not the same. The BMW cleaner is more of a gel while the sonax is more liquid. Nonetheless they perform the same.

Right. It is not literally the same thing, but the outcome is essentially the same for a lower price.

Give me a break, all that work and to finish it off with a power washer. I've been using "Meguiars All Wheel Cleaner" on BMW's since day one even with all the bad brake dust the wheels always come up like new with little effort. On the F30 because of the new brake pads and little dust I use a mitt with regular car wash and they to look like new when I'm finished. Good luck
cheers

Nice!
I use Sonax myself but will have to try this...thanks for posting.

I also had a E39 530i Sport with the same wheels...as much as I loved the car I hated washing those weels - wish I had these products then.

So does this protect against accumulating break dust?

Cause its easy to clean the wheel. I just hate when it looks like I didnt the next day.

Sorry, it does not. It only makes cleaning very dirty wheels easier. The only way you can reduce brake dust is A. dont use the brakes and or B. switch to different pads. Understanding that different pads do not have the same bite that the OE pads have (which dust a lot).
