The BMW i3's First Hot-Lap

When you see this electric vehicle blow by you in silence, you won't believe your eyes—or ears.
BMW's i3 takes it's first ever hot lap ever, and it seemed to handle it pretty well. Granted, it's not really made for track days, so there is definitely some roll to it. The exhaust note sounded, well, incredibly silent. All you hear are the sounds of punished tires. Looks like good fun though.

Check out Bimmerfest's test drive (not on track) of the i3 here.

drove an i3 yesterday for about an hour.. the thing has balls!! love the torque in this electic motor - some leaf owners that drove it said they were upset that they bought a leaf after driving the i3. it's not a vehicle for everyone but it definitely feels and drives like a BMW-
