From the rear, it looks a little squashed...height of rear window is definitely smaller. A sportier back in my opinion.

Looks great. For someone on the fence purchasing a 2014 or holding out until 2015... makes the decision a bit easier. I'm interested to see the package changes because the MSRP has gone up. Also looking to see one in MSport and what the new color combinations are.... hoping for Mineral Grey or a metallic white.

There's a visualizer on the German BMW site http://www.bmw.de/de/neufahrzeuge/x/...isualizer.html. It will show the exterior and interior in standard, x-line and M-sport trims.

I think that is just the angle of the picture, The LCI photo is taken from a lower vantage point.

I like the rear of the new LCI X3 - more like the LCI X5 E70.

The front looks like the newer F15 which is a love or hate response....

Isn't msrp exactly the same as MY 2014 for xdrive 28i and 35i?

So, they finally added burl walnut wood trim option. I would strongly prefer that to the fineline. Oh well...

My god the M sport is ugly. I'm sure some will like it. But not me. The xline looks really nice. The updates overall is VERY nice

I agree. For 2014, the MSport added some "strength" to the X3 image (IMO). OTOH, for 2015, the base X3 is very nice looking with the xline package adding to the looks, but the M-Sport is WAY over the top.

Also, in the configurator it appears that the xline gets you sport seats and a sport steering wheel. If so, then the 2015 xline version with either 18" or 19" wheels will probably suit me just fine. (And potentially save some money.)

Looking at the pictures makes me so envious that they can get a stick shift on anything over there...

I agree with you 100%. Unless the Msport has something extra special that the xline does not I'm sure 95% of the buys would choose xline over msport.

Yep. In 2014, it looks like we had only two choices. With the XLine options, this "middle-sized bear" is what a lot of people have been looking for - just right.

I need to see the packages and options, with associated prices before committing. Assuming that our hopes and expectations are accurate, I'll pull the trigger and order one.

Regards,

Dan.

Like the new front (hopefully the middle lamps are now functional), like addition of metallic white and walnut trim, and cupholder cover. The rear, however, IMO looks WAY too busy...the lower section terrible (odd shaped black insert and "skid plate" looks like a committee afterthought). Might look better on dark color. I was also hoping for tires/wheels to grow...17" and 18" look dated, and going to 19" makes for a low profile with inherent ride compromise. Besides, they don't properly fill out the wheel openings (admittedly a visual preference).
