2015 BMW 228i with Track Handling Package

The BMW 228i just recently went on sale and BMW has already started refining the packaging of the car to include a Track Handling package that includes the Adaptive M Suspension, BMW Variable Sport Steering, M Sport Brakes and a set of Ultra-high performance, non-run-flat Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires paired with 18" sport wheels.

This new package is making it's world debut today at the New York International Auto Show and we have been able to see the car on the display floor. This package will hopefully be a great value for anyone looking to add "sport" to the car without adding the M Sport or Sport line to the car. The only disappointing news is that the package lacks sports seats so if you want that you'll still need to choose M Sport or the sport line. We can only speculate on price at this point but the Dynamic Handling Package and M Sport Brakes work out to $1,650 by themselves so with the upgraded wheels we may be looking at something between $1,500 and $2,500 when all is said and done.

While this package won't be noticeable to most people, it should make for a good addition to those of you who are buying the car to put the biggest smile on your face while tossing it through the twisty roads on the way to work. The package will be available starting with July 2014 production for delivery later this summer. Look for official pricing numbers in the coming weeks.

This is great, looks like the enthusiast section of BMW still listens to it's niche clients

Sickening feeling to look at that USD$33,025 compared to our Aust. Sept.14 release of AUD$64,400 without Track Handling Package.
At one stage it was not considered for release in Aust.
This looks a great addition, good performance and much better fuel economy from a petrol.

I posted about this a week or so ago and didn't see this older post. Anyway, glad it was resurrected. (although sorry to hear about that price in Down Under). When taking a test drive this past weekend, my overzealous salesman made two comments that make me question him. First, he said that this "whole track package is just a rumor, so I wouldn't count on it." Then he said ALL M235i come with run flats, which I know is also not true. I might just have to show him this post with that photo just to straighten him out.
