AutoExpress: M235i vs E46 M3 CSL

by Member - cla_bos on April 27, 2014, 6:22 am
AutoExpress puts M235i up against an incredible older M3, the E46 M3 CSL, to see which is the fastest round the track and which is the purer drivers car. The CSL is a lightweight M3 with special suspension, upgraded brakes and a bit more power. The M235i is a little heavier but has more torques and also offers trick suspension and brakes, M adaptive suspension, and M sport brakes to be exact. Both will set you back similar money, so other than age, this is looking like an exciting comparison.

Check out the nice little comparison video by AutoExpress:

Have you seen the drag race against ISF? Guess who won?

The ISF is naturally aspirated, and they were over a mile above sea level, which constitutes about a 20% loss in useable horsepower. That's really the only reason the M235i won.
