BMW is taking to the stage at the 2014 Paris Motor Show with the latest results of its ongoing model push, revealing even more ways to experience the brandís hallmark driving pleasure.
World premieres of two new models: the BMW 2 Series Convertible and the new BMW X6 are the main attractions. Also on display in the French capital are the new four-cylinder diesel engines for the BMW 5 Series, an exclusive special edition of the BMW 7 Series luxury Sedan, and innovations from BMW ConnectedDrive. Paris also provides the venue for the French premiere of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and groundbreaking BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car.

The launch of the G11 next generation 7 Series is coming soon. BMW has been out testing prototypes again, this time in production body panels. While still heavily disguised the final form is starting to be visible.
The biggest changes will take place beneath the skin with the 35up platform. This new platform, which will also underpin the next gen 5 series, is super light weight using technology from the BMW i3 and i8. The G11 will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2015.

The next generation 7 Series has been known to be using some lightweight material to save weight but now we are hearing about how significant that weight savings may be.
Rumor has it that the new 7 may come in even lighter than the entry level 5 Series which would be a huge weight savings meaning better performance and increased fuel efficiency.

The photo leaks have started for the next generation 7 series that is expected to make it's debut in 2015 at the Frankfurt Car Show. This new model is the first we have head of using the new G based chassis codes - the G11.
Speculation on big changes for the next generation 7 Series include a much lighter car utilizing lightweight materials such as carbon fiber.
