Josh S. and the expert drivers from the BMW Performance Center took a couple 2013 M6 out on the Performance Center private track for a game of cat and mouse. With 560 horsepower, 500 ft-lbs of torque and a trick electronically managed limited slip differential the 2013 F13 M6 Coupe has no problem bringing the rear end around for some well laid out drifts. It isn't the fastest way around the track but it does make for some great video footage.

2013 BMW M6 Review - Plenty of Power and Weight - But Does it Matter?by Tim Jones on July 28, 2012 at 12:00:00 PM
Ignition's Carlos Lago provide us with a well put together video review of the 2013 BMW M6 convertible. Having driven the M6 Convertible I agree with much of his assessment of the all new M6 convertible, up to a point. Yes the M6 convertible weights in at 4500lbs but it is a big car and more importantly it does not drive like it. Mr. Lago misses this point entirely, instead acting as if BMW intentionally made the M6 heavier just to see if...

With the 2012 BMW F12 M6 convertible (Read my driving impressions) now hitting US dealerships our attention turns to the yet to be released 2013 BMW F13 M6 Coupe. Sharing the same engine, transmission and styling with the convertible but getting a bump in performance from the fixed roof and shedding weight by ditching the folding soft top mechanics the M6 coupe is the performance car of the two.
