BMW Shows Off Emergency Vehicles at RETTmobil 2013

At the RETTmobil trade show in Fulda, the BMW Group will be presenting from 15 to 17 May 2013 an up-to-date overview of its range of purpose-built emergency vehicles.
BMW will be exhibiting a total of seven different models – a BMW X6 M50d designed as a medical car for the racetrack and a BMW X3 as a fire brigade command vehicle at the main entrance, a BMW X1 “First Responder” and, at the exhibition booth, a BMW X3 and a BMW 3 Series Touring as emergency medical services vehicles, a BMW 5 Series Touring as a fire brigade command vehicle as well as a public authority version of the new F 800 GT motorcycle.

Say what you will about the 3 Series Gran Turismo, you can't help but find it attractive in this well put together BMW product spotlight. Think of the 3 GT as a 3 series +, with a bit more room, a bit more comfort and a bit more functionality. Styling wise, BMW has left plenty of room for debate.
BMW 5 Series on 20 inch CEC c882 wheels in machined gloss black

CEC's latest project 535i gets a 20 inch set of their c882 with a gloss black and machined finish. In addition to the aggressive wheels they've added body parts from AC Shnitzer. The ACS parts list includes: side skirt add-ons, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, roof spoiler.
Top ten for Turner Motorsport BMW M3 at Road Atlanta

Despite setbacks and a rained out qualifying the Turner Motorsport No. 94 GT class M3 finished 7th in GT keeping Paul Dalla Lana 4th in the driver points championship. In GS class the No. 96 M3 retired after 10 laps with a gearbox issue.

US customers will have to wait until 2014. Converted Euro pricing puts the starting price around $53,500.

We have the first pictures of the BMW i3 production line in Leipzig. With full production starting in August the finish touches and testing are in the works. The i3 arrives in European dealerships in October, US buyers will be forced to wait until early 2014 for their i3s.

BMW i3 on sale July starting around $53,500

The all electric BMW i3 will go on sale in Europe in July with a starting price of roughly $53,500 USD. The range extender version with a 650cc electric generator starts around $58,000 USD. Production i3 arrive in dealership in October.

At the BMW brand store in Paris BMW has an art piece showing off the evolution of the iconic BMW twin kidney grills. The two-section, rounded radiator grille was first seen on the BMW 303 at the 1933 International Motor Show in Geneva.
The design has evolved during the course of time into one of the most distinctive BMW features. Over decades the characteristic kidney grille has been interpreted in many different ways and still characterises the unmistakeable face of every BMW vehicle.
