BMW officially debuted the newest X model to the world today at the New York Auto Show, the all new BMW X4. The X4 builds on the success of the BMW X family, is built on the X3 chassis, and generally resembles a baby X6.
The BMW X4 will be built in the United States at the Spartanburg factory with a starting price of $48,925 (including destination and handling).

Bimmerfest gets hands on with the BMW X5 eDrive Concept. This concept X5 incorporates technology borrowed from the BMW i8. An electric motor and battery complement the 4 cylinder gasoline engine for increase fuel economy.
The combined engine and electric motor (eMotor) work together to increase efficiency resulting in an estimated 62 MPG while having 270+hp and 300+lb-ft of torque on tap.

BMW has acquired a plot of land covering more than 140,000 square feet in Munich. Its close proximity to BMW Plant Munich, BMW's "four-cylinder" building, BMW Welt and the BMW Museum makes this an ideal new home for BMW Group Classic.
Among the buildings on the plot is a section of the original BMW factory built in 1918. The company will therefore regain ownership of part of the old aero engine production halls, we well as the entrance building from those early days.
