The launch of the G11 next generation 7 Series is coming soon. BMW has been out testing prototypes again, this time in production body panels. While still heavily disguised the final form is starting to be visible.
The biggest changes will take place beneath the skin with the 35up platform. This new platform, which will also underpin the next gen 5 series, is super light weight using technology from the BMW i3 and i8. The G11 will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2015.

BMW's latest 3 series hybrid test mule was caught out testing. Clearly visible "Hybrid Test Vehicle" sticker and the front charging port door give this away as an eDrive 3 series.
The eDrive 3 series is a replacement for the current ActiveHybrid3, giving a much needed boost to the 3 series hybrid offering. Offering a true hybrid of economy and sport for the 3 series driver.

BMW's halo car, the i8 took on the Goodwood hill climb this past weekend. The track has an elevation change of 305 feet and with an average gradient of 4.9%, it puts a car to work. Watch the i8 rip up the hill climb.
The BMW i8 is powered by a three-cylinder gasoline, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. The 231 hp engine sends its power to the rear wheels, while the 131 hp electric motor powers the front wheels. With both drive systems engaged, as was used for the hill climb it gives you road-hugging all-wheel-drive performance with powerful acceleration.

BMW is on a roll with the all electric i3. Just a few months into production and they are already ramping up product to meet unexpected demand and winning awards.

Integrate your GoPro into BMW iDrive using BMW apps. In BMW vehicles equipped with the BMW Apps or MINI Connected option, a GoPro camera may now be configured and controlled using BMWs iDrive controller and high-resolution screen.
In addition to aiming the camera using BMW's large central screen, users may quickly choose between six pre-set camera modes: Leisure Drive Facing Out, Night Driving, Sport Drive Facing Out, Drive Camera Facing In, Winding Road Time-lapse, and Straight Road Time-lapse. The camera's RECORD function may be started and stopped by the driver at will, and vital camera status indicators are displayed, including recording elapsed time, battery life, and Wi-Fi signal strength. The user may also toggle the camera's SLEEP mode to prolong battery life between shots.

The speculation about the M2 can be put to bed, these spy pictures are proof that it is indeed coming. Arriving as a 2016 model year in 2015 we have some time to wait before the M2 hits showrooms.
BMW is attempting to camouflage the wider fenders on this early M2 test car, it's not very hard to see they are wider than the standard M235i. This particular mule looks to have borrowed the front fenders from the M235i Racing car while the rear fenders are slightly different.
