BMW Team RLL did all it could today at the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, but ultimately ended the 2.45-hour race fifth and sixth in the GT class.
Dirk Müller and Joey Hand, driving the No. 56 Z4 GTE, finished fifth, completing 123 laps of the 2.46-mile, 10-turn circuit during the race to retain (unofficially) Müller’s lead in the GT driver standings by five points.

This weekend, BMW Team RLL heads to the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for this round of the 2013 American Le Mans Series. Joey Hand returns from his DTM racing duties overseas to once again co-drive the number 56 car with Dirk Müller.
BMW stands three points behind Chevrolet in Manufacturer points and is tied with Corvette Racing in Team points. Dirk Müller now leads the Driver standings by a 16-point margin.

John Edwards, driving the No. 56 BMW Z4 GTE, carried the momentum from his first American Le Mans Series podium at the ALMS Monterey race in May to his first ALMS pole for tomorrow's Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.
Maxime Martin, driving the No. 55 Z4 GTE he shares with Bill Auberlen, chased Edwards throughout the 15-minute session ultimately finishing second with a lap of 51.157 seconds, only .161 seconds behind Edwards.

Dirk Müller and John Edwards, driving the No. 56 BMW Z4 GTE, scored a third place finish in today’s four-hour American Le Mans Monterey race.
A second consecutive podium finish for the No. 56 machine and a win for the No. 55 car at Long Beach in only the third race of the new program keeps BMW in second place in the GT class manufacturer point standings and moves Müller to the top of the GT class driver points.

The streets of Long Beach, California continue to be the favorite stomping grounds of BMW Team RLL as they finished 1-2 in today’s American Le Mans at Long Beach race.
