The BMW 328i has been selected as the winner of the Cars.Com Sports Sedan Challenge. Other cars in the running included the Acura TL, Audi A4, Cadillac ATS, Mercedes C250 and Volvo S60.
The 3 Series emerged as the winner in a series of evaluations including race track testing, instrumented measurements, street driving and a long distance trip on different types of roads.

BMW is putting the finishing touches on the F32 4 series coupe and F32 convertible before the release in the fall and winter respectively. We spied what looks to be a 428i coupe and perhaps 420i convertible out on the ice testing and later on a 435i on the snow.

This comes as no surprise to people familiar with the latest generation 328i. The new 328i throws down 240 horsepower from its 2.0-liter, inline 4 cylinder engine and gets a whopping 34mpg highway at the same time!

The 320i is factory rated at 180 hp at 5,000 RPMs and 200 lb-ft of torque from 1,250 RPMs. Stacked next to the 328i with 240hp at 5000 RPMs and 255 lb-ft of torque from 1250 RPMs and the obvious question is what is the difference in the two engines....
