Our spy network caught up with the next generation F80 M3 hitting the twisty roads and were able to notice a power dome pushing up through the hood. You still need some imagination but it is starting to get interesting.

This past week we had the opportunity to sit down with Thomas Schemera (VP of Sales and Marketing for the BMW M Brand at BMW AG) and Matt Russell (M Brand Manager for the BMW of North America) to talk about the new M5/M6 and to see what kind of insight we might get into the upcoming F80 M3.

It's not a secret anymore that the next-generation Bmw M3, which will hit the market in 2012, will lose its V8 engine in favor of a smaller and more powerful V6. We found out from our German sources that the next-generation Bmw M3 will receive a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine capable to deliver around 440 hp.
