The latest episode of Motor Trend's Ignition series takes a look at the all-new BMW M6 Gran Coupe. The writer/host of the episode is Jonny Lieberman who wasn't all too impressed with the BMW M5 in his Head 2 Head review last fall.
I don't want to spoil your watching of the video but lets just say he has a totally different take when it comes to the new BMW M6 Gran Coupe.

Vorsteiner upgrades the BMW F13 M6 coupe with front, side and rear aero and a set of 21"s. If you were concerned your M6 would blend into the sea of other M6s then look no further.

We have managed to get some photos of the upcoming Alpina 6 Series Gran Coupe while it was out testing on public roadways. There isn't much covered up on this test mule but you can be assured that the final product is going to be everything you would expect from an Alpina version of a BMW.
The biggest change? Our sources indicate that there might be about 100 more horsepower being coaxed out of the stock 4.4-liter V8 that is typically found in a 650i giving it approximately 545 horsepower!

The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is scheduled to go on sale this spring for a base price of $113,000 but until today we had only seen a handful of pictures from BMW of this new M model.
The M6 Gran Coupe produces 560 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque from it's massive 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V-8 accelerating the Gran Coupe from 0 to 62 in 4.2 seconds. Read on for more details.

We knew from talking to the good folks in the M Division that a 6-Speed was certainly possible for the M6 model lineup but they had not said it would happen for sure. Based on today's press release, all variants in the 2014 model year lineup will be available with a no extra cost 6-speed manual transmission option!

Bimmerfest.com is live at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show bringing you coverage of BMW and other highlights from the show. The biggest BMW news so far is the 4 Series Coupe concept. Successor to the 3 series coupe the new BMW 4 series writes a bold new chapter in BMWs history. Wider, lower, longer and more aggressively styled then the outgoing E92 3 series coupe the 4 series has a love it or hate it styling.
In person the 4 series is the sexiest car out of Munich. The much discussed F30 3 Series front end looks right at home with the aggressive styling of the 4 series. The car is very handsome in person and the side vents are more interested and dynamic then they appear in person.
