An Original Equipment Manufacturer (frequently abbreviated "OEM") is a company that builds products or components which are used in products sold by another company. However in the automotive world the term OEM is often used to describe parts that are branded by the manufacturer. For instance BMW headlights are branded BMW but are actually made for BMW by Bosch.

Companies that are BMW OEM producers include: Sachs, Bosch, Denso, Douglas, Lear, Boge, GM, ZF, Getrag, etc.
