BMW Spartanburg Sets Production Record

BMW Manufacturing, the company's U.S. production branch, has set a new record for most X models built in the 25 years since the models started at the facility. The company's Spartanburg, SC, plant first opened in 1994, when it built the E36 3-Series, the Z3, and then later the Z4.

BMW has applied for trademarks on the names “Isetta” and “Knutschkugel” according to applications filed with German patent and trademark office.

Paul Walker’s Collection of M3s Sells for $1.7 Million

You may recall that a collection of seven M3s (and some other cars) were going to auction. Well, they were sold at last weekend’s Barrett-Jackson auction and pulled a respectable $1.7 million in total.

Report: The i8 Set to Go Out of Production in April
