Side marker solutions?!

I have a X5 35d on order and think about to find a good solution for the orange side markers.
I didn't found any in clear i guess because the side markers are only for the US marked.
I found a post where someone was painting them in the original car color which was not bad but he mention that on a 35d the radiator could be a problem to get the side marker off the bumper.

Has anyone experience with this and could give me some advice.
Pictures or links are welcome.

Thanks to all

I am planning on deleting the side reflectors as well. Not sure how difficult they are to replace on the X5d, but it was a breeze on my 335:).

Thanks, but this is what i planed and when you read his headline he says that it would be difficult on the passenger side on an 35d because of the radiator.

Can anyone conform or take a look on his 35d if its possible to access from the passenger side as wll?

Thanks

Ok, i just checked a 35d at a dealer and the radiator is on the drivers side.
Problem is that there is no way to access the side marker from the front.
I see a mesh on the back which could be removed when removing the tire.
The radiator is also visible from the other side.
Only question would be if i can reach in to access the side marker?

Any idea anyone?

I read on Xoutpost that you will need to remove the wheel, wheel arch and inner fender liner to access the side marker. Run a query there on the m sport body kit DIY. The guy there did a writeup indicating the level of finesse in replacing that marker. HTH

Sorry but can't find it.
Could you send a link?

Would be great to see what I have to remove to access the marker.

Thanks

Too much work to replace the side reflectors if the wheel has to be removed.

Has anyone tried these - http://www.bimmian.com/70/SRO/

any other options?

As it looks right now you just have to remove the wheel to get abetted access. There is a mesh plate which can be removed and I guess you can access from there.

I was also thinking about stickers but you will never match the metallic color an maybe see some amber on the side....

I will try it and remove the wheel.
My X5 is still on order but this will be one if the first things I will do!

This post sounds good and he got it done with out removing something...

The Euro clears look great on the E70, as well as smoked reflectors. Clears are available HERE (http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E70-X5-N52_3.0L/Lighting/View_All/ES261543/?salesrep=JRiggsbee&utm_source=bimmerfest&utm_medium=forum&utm_content=JRiggsbee&utm_campaign=postreply) and smoked available HERE (http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E70-X5-N52_3.0L/Lighting/View_All/ES261544/?salesrep=JRiggsbee&utm_source=bimmerfest&utm_medium=forum&utm_content=JRiggsbee&utm_campaign=postreply)

Looks like just stickers over the stock ones
Since I am one of those who like to maintain the refection, I would go with clears from ECS, but they are sold out...
