I like to get your input, help and advice on my 2005 M3 E46 w/ 39k miles on it. I have been reading on other forums regarding VANOS frailer and damaging the engine. They say all E46 M3's owners should upgrade to DR.VANOS or Beisan Systems to prevent them from failing and harming the engine. Talked to few shop mechanics and they told me to keep it the way it is and don't open a can of worms. I am very confused. What do you recommend, shall I do it now or wait when I have about 60k to 70k miles on the car. I know most of your experience is with none M E46 but you seem a very knowledgeable person with cars and life.

Header installation is tough because it`s such tight would be much easier for someone with hands the size of a six-year-old child`s....I don`t really know, maybe 3 hours or so....

What are your thoughts about Ebay headers for 330ci?
I found these, just wondering what you would suggest.

Unless you know any better brand/seller can you please give me the link?

Hi Fast Bob...u were highly recommended...I posted this under E46 section, 3 series.....(I know, should be in Tire section, but needed answer QUICK, before someone snaps these up from me)...if cannot view thru PM, please see my post. Thx! -Don.

    I'm pretty sure these'll fit......but

    Mine: 2005 325 ci cabrio

    His: 2008 328xi coupe

These Hankooks (in Canada, which ALL tires r more expensive here) sell new for $209ea. Plus we have a $5-7 tire recycling fee on any new tire, + OEM BMW steelies x 4, + 12.5% Sales Tax, plus mounting, balancing, etc.....This set would be well over $1300+. Not even mentioning the $25 + tax for EACH tire to add studs.

    3000km on this set.

Any worries about fitment from 2008 to 2005 ?

(I got the dude down to $750)

Please comment fast so I can get today....thx!

    Hi Bob,

So...I changed out the calipers and rotors and ...smooth as silk when braking but the steering wheel shimmy remains. I'm not convinced the chassis shudder won't return as the same thing happened last time I changed out rotors. This time I did calipers as well so maybe there was something causing some kind of symptom but I did not measure any meaningful run-out on either side's rotors or hubs.

    Absolutely weird and frustrating.

Its great you support the wounded warrior project. My dad is an Iraq vet with gulf war syndrome. The armed forces deserve a lot more support than the public gives them.
