Windshield Washer pumps

I changed out my windshield washer pumps today because the front windshield stopped working (of the 3 total). It probably wasn't actually bad, because I took out the rubber gromet/screen on all 3 of them and they were clogged with green ****.

I took images of different part numbers on my specific car, since realoem didn't let me find the correct pump for the front washers (mine is taller)

I've heard that Rainex will cause your sensor to gunk up, but never thought about it clogged the screens - I've used it for most of my car ownership. I swapped the screened grommets for the aftermarket grommets with no screens - I guess the question is, will it clog the pumps

Eventually slime biofilm will clog pumps and tubes and nozzles.

Rain-X brand has been sold and its formulation cheapened. Rain-X brand now specializes in automatic car wash bulk products.

Use a denaturant in the WW reservoir, really hot water is the cheapest. I use methanol-denatured ethanol as denaturant, wetting agent, anti-freeze and solvent with distilled water.
