Not "BS Fake info" on my two N52 cars...

2006 530xi...water pump failed years ago at 60K-ish miles.
2009 X5 3.0...water pump failed years ago also at 60-ish...and then again last year at 90-ish.

Do some surfing and pay attention to A/C threads where the heater control valve was at fault. There are a number of head scratchers where the A/C performance was fixed by changing out the heater...

The problem with keeping the old one in the car, is you need to store it with coolant already in the pump. Once the pump is put in service, it needs to stay wet.

Could the "intake runner valves (2)" be the DISA valves? They are in the intake. If that's what they mean, $2,335 is outrageous. The valves are parts #2 and #3 in this diagram (at least for the 2006...

I cross my fingers on every long drive with my 2006 530xi. 94K miles and on its second water pump. That was put in year ago. I've even toyed with buying the water pump and keeping the required tools...

The TPMS sensor could also have been damaged by the tire technician.

X5 A/C compressor belt is the same...no tensioner. PITA..even with the special tool. And, at least on the X5, the A/C belt has to come off to put on a new serpentine belt.

Eyeballing the angle is fine. For your BMW, if you look at the vast majority of torque angles in the torque tables, they are mostly 90 or 180. A few are 45. Very few are odd like 30 or 70....

IMO, unless you are a professional mechanic, you don't need an angle...

Just a note of caution for those reading this thread...you should never try to turn the crankshaft by hand in the wrong (i.e. non-operating) direction.
