When I fix my aux I'm taking off my clutch fan, 88C stat on the V8 does most of the work. A lower temp stat on the M54 could be useful as well.

GC 0w30 was a solid oil, but it got replaced by an M1 0w40 clone in most places, and the latter is pretty solid regardless.

Balboline MaxLife or your favorite 71141 ATF (it probably doesn't even need it for high frequency service intervals) of choice with an OEM filter and you're good to go...
