There is only one but xDrive models don't get the handling upgrades. There is no horsepower increase either way. If you're in the SE US why do you want xDrive?

No reason it shouldn't work out. But in regards to your initial question, I'd never mix RFT's and non-RFT's. They have very different sidewall construction.

The bottom line is that if an engine runs hotter for whatever reason, the cooling system is beefed up to compensate. The premise that BMW engines use looser tolerances and burn more oil is urban myth.

My point is higher RPM equals more combustion and as you say more heat. If you’re for example on a race track the engine will run hotter as it’s at higher RPM most of the time.
