Severe misfires on bank 1

'08 335xi, 74K miles, stage 1+. New ignition coils as of 3 weeks ago, spark plugs have about 9K miles, injectors & HPFP have about 40K miles. Did a track day 2 weeks ago, performed great.

Underhood temps are not remotely a useful indicator of coolant temps. You can monitor coolant temps with ISTA, a decent scanner, or the onboard hidden menu.

If it started when you replaced the rack, check everything you did then. Particularly the rack mounting bolts. Due to the slightly difficult access, those would be easy to under-torque.

The DME may report additional codes regarding fuel delivery, sensor problems, or who knows.
