Clearly if there is doubt, use a ICOM connector. Safer approach for the update. Ensure you have a 20-25 amp charger whenever you are updating modules for stability.

Neither of your P code numbers are valid for BMW.

Here is a BMW code decoder. http://bmwfault.codes

Place a 0 after the P making your code 4 digits instead of 3 and decode them.

Folding mirrors was not a option on the 04-05 model year e60's. Actually I believe it was a LCI addition, could be wrong on the LCI portion. At any rate for a 04-05 good luck.
