Oh, and I'm really sorry. That really sucks. Just be glad that this a problem that insurance and $500 out of pocket can solve. There are worse scenarios in life. Hang in there, and I wish you all...

Does TireRack.com ship to Canada? Bummer if not. I buy all of my tires there. Yes, I'd go with the Bridgestone DriveGuards. They're better than the OEM and I haven't heard anyone else indicate...

I have them on my 2014 X1 35i. I like them more than the OEM tires. They're just a bit less harsh and a little more buttoned down on rough roads. That said, I won't buy another...

Welcome to the club! My X1 is my third BMW and I've really enjoyed it. I'm a big guy, so there's not a lot of room in the back seat behind me. So I think of my X1 as a coupe / hatchback with...

+1 on this advice. Tires get old and they lose some of their resilience over time. This happened on my 2006 X3; I replaced the tires and it felt so much better! TireRack is the way to do it.

Well, there are a few things going on here:
1) You bought an M-sport. It's not just a bunch of trim pieces; it has a tighter, lowered suspension.
2) If you have the 19" rims, there's much less...

Run flats work as expected

For all of the complaints about BMW's decision not to offer a spare and only offer run-flat tires, I figured I'd post an example where they worked as expected. Driving down I5 in Seattle yesterday,...

In the E84 X1, the HK stereo is a worthwhile upgrade, for sure. On the X3, I don't have first-hand experience. That said, two other comments here are spot on:
1) Don't use bluetooth; use a wired...

I found I'm too tall for the X2. That sleek silhouette comes at the cost of head room. At 6'2", I simply didn't fit. Also, no inline six, because then they'd have to run the engine lengthwise...
