No, I just don't want to do a bootcamp partition on my macbook pro. Having a windows-only machine makes life easier for you.

Problem solved!

This turned out to be the bolt holding the catalytic converter heat shields to the main firewall of the engine bay. The washer is there because there are two layers of sheet metal, and it is brass...
