I went from my "Italian love affair" FIAT 124 1600 sports coupe in 1981 to a brand new BMW E21 323i - a 6 cyl 2.3 litre motor. Did they sell this model in USA? Silky smooth power but handling left...

I have a 2012 E70 X5 M50d in Australia - not sure this triple turbo M diesel is sold in the US.

For a few months now the central locking has been misbehaving - sometimes rapidly locking &...

Love the X5 diesel!

I agree with posts on the X5 E70 diesel's reliability & enjoyment.

After some major engine dramas with a 2010 E70 50i V8, I replaced it with a 2012 E70 M50d - not sure if this 3 litre triple turbo...

I've had three X5s -
1. 2004 4.8iS E53 2. 2009 5.0i E70 2012 M50d E70 (current)

Have owned BMWs since 1982 & I'm on my 3rd X5 now. The first was the most exciting, a 2004 4.8iS with every option as standard & great performance with a fabulous exhaust sound. Next was a 2010 50i...

Not missing carburetors

Mine was a 1976 FIAT 124 coupe with a Weber carburetor. It was navy blue with a red cloth interior, & must have been built on a Wednesday as it never broke down in 5 years.
I replaced it with a...

Don't do it!

From Australia: my previous car was a 2004 X5 4.8iS - probably the most enjoyable car I've ever had.
I bought a 2010 X5 50i with 60,000km on it in 2013. The red light of death appeared on the dash...
