X5 Re-installing the power steering pump.

Hey guys,

I was dealing with my oil thermostat leak, and dropped off the power steering pump to ease access to the thermostat. I fixed the thermostat leak but I can't put the power steering pump...

Doug, with all respect to your BMW experience I would recommend replacing rotors. The old rotors normally wear out or sag in on the inner diameter as this is the hottest point of the working...

Yes I did wack it with a 16 oz. hammer through a 2 x 2 piece of wood. I don't see any corrosion marks on the engine though. Of course the corrosion may be on the alternator mounting fork itself.
