I just set an appointment with Discount. They're happy to swap out to the Potenzas, and just charge me the difference (not even charging another install fee or restock or anything.)

I couldn't...

I just did the exact same thing. I have the Potenzas on the front and had to replace my rears and went with the DriveGuards which Discount claimed are much better riding. Instead, I feel like the...

Question 2007 335i started rough, cylinder misfire... related to low oil?

My 2007 335i has chewed through a fair amount of oil for as long as I've owned the car: basically, I get the "low oil" warning about every six-eight weeks. I usually top it off with a quart and away...

Aha, I was able to force it and the side mirrors to dim with my cell phone LED right at it. It's never dimmed (as best as I can tell) from headlights, so perhaps it's just a sensitivity issue or...

Haha, no worries.

It's definitely never dimmed for me. I've been flat out BLINDED by people before, so I may just call my local Bimmer shop (not dealer) and see if they know if the fuse is...

During the day, you have to cover the front-facing one so it thinks it's night. And then shine light into the mirror-mounted sensor. Either way, covering or not, headlights or flashlight, the mirrors...

No tint, and I can't force any dimming by covering the front-facing sensor and blinding the rear sensor.

Compass and homelink work, but none of the mirrors dim, so I'm trying to determine if the...

Naturally, I have the manual here in front of me and didn't think to check that. So the exteriors ARE controlled by the same photo-sensors... I wonder if the sensor is bad or just not getting power....

Dimming mirror questions

I have a 2007 335i with premium, sports, cold weather, and convenience package.

My rear-view mirror never dims. It doesn't have the bubbles I've read about, and I don't know if it's leaked out....

Red face Bel STi-R Plus with Shifters

I'm a bit late to this thread, but let me say this: the Escort 9500i/9500ix is the far superior detector compared to the V1. The V1 is based on REALLY old detector technology, even with their...

I just bought a 2007 335i with 35k miles on it, literally yesterday. Bought from a local BMW specialty company that just sells BMWs.

I test drove and did a few hard launches, no problem. (Also,...
