$475 of that is labor. I think the job should take maybe 3 hours so with labor @ $100+ per hour the quote is not unreasonable. Some can DIY. I prefer OEM parts too eBay....

When I got my car in 2012, I ordered a second key from the dealer, like you. I think the key came coded to the VIN, but if not, the dealer will introduce it to the car.
