I mounted mine inside the fan shroud. The pie pan in the link above would be good to use if you don't have access to a machine shop to cut you a custom ring.
You'll need to use a low profile fan.

Yes, that is normal.
Doesn't the unloader relay keep power on a few circuits (windows, radio, etc) for a few minutes after you shut the car off? Then it removes power.

With the crank and cams locked the only thing that could be off is the vanos not retarded all the way or the trigger wheel...

Pull the FP relay out and jump pin 2 to pin 6 in the fuel pump socket. The pump should run with the key in pos 2.
Then start the engine and report back.

Yup, not timed right.
P0011 cam timing out of spec with vanos off (over advance bank 1)
When you first start the engine the DME checks the timing with no advance and then with the vanos advanced....

Just jump pin 2 to pin 6 in the fuel pump socket. The pump should run with the key in pos 2.
Then start the engine and report back.

If the pump doesn't run we'll move on to figure what's wrong.
