Running Pirelli's Scorpion runflats for several ski seasons. Other than the tendency to wander a bit on dry pavement, I'm happy with them. Work great in snow.

Retiring X3

My 05 X3 is going into Semi-Retirement with 145000+ miles and no problems. Has the original clutch and other than normal wearout items, only had to replace the valve cover gasket and oil filter...

I would check the ground wires/cables. I've had this happen on a few of the cars/trucks I've owned over the years. They tend to corrode or lose contact from dirt, etc.

At 140000 on a 2005 2.5, the only things I repaired/replaced were routine stuff like brakes, filters, plugs etc. Somewhat not routine but not unexpected were Valve Cover Gasket and Oil Filter gasket...
