Sorry, I used the word "soap" in a generic form. I guess I should have called it a "car wash liquid". I find these "liquids" to be mild and "slippery", thus minimizing scratches to the paint.

Dawn is used to remove wax from cars. Not everyone wants to do that when they wash their car ( I don't). Why not just use a car wash soap like Meguiar's or Griot's?

I think most owners of automobiles that are out of warranty don't bother with an extended warranty plan, not just BMWs. All the adverts you see from warranty plans never mention the cost of the plan...

Maybe. If it was used as a car in the driving program, the dealer is supposed to disclose it. Perhaps it was just a loaner at a nearby dealer?
